Good friend of PastPixels.com, Hal Halpin, President of the Entertainment Consumer Association, sat down with G4TV’s Adam Sessler, to discuss a number of issues and specifically the upcoming Supreme Court case in November.  The case coming before the court is extremely important for consumers because it seeks to classify video games differently than other forms of media, limiting free speech and consumer rights.  Hit the link to check out the interview.

If you have any interest in preserving the freedom of expression for video game designers, artists, and digital storytellers, as well as the rights of consumers to choose the content appropriate for themselves, please consider signing the petition over at the ECA’s website.

The short form is:

We, the undersigned American video game consumers, purchase, rent and play video games the way we do other entertainment content such as movies and music. We respectfully request that you hold that video games are indeed free speech, protected under the First Amendment, like other entertainment media.
